The contemporary language of this design is intentional. While the Vila Rosa and Planina Cottage respect traditional Bulgarian forms, the Balkan View Villa takes a more modern approach — responding to the landscape through large glazed areas rather than blending into it.
The result is a house that feels open, spacious, and connected to the spectacular Bulgarian scenery outside.
Thermal performance is not sacrificed for aesthetics. The extensive south-facing glazing is triple-glazed. Overhanging eaves provide summer shading. The insulation specification exceeds Bulgarian building regulation minimums.
